Section 36
Objection if fake name comes to vote

(1) If a voter or a person comes to collect ballot paper to vote in the name of another voter, the candidate, his representative or any voter of the same polling station can protest before the polling officer by depositing a bond of 100 rupees.
(2) If there is an objection as per sub-section (1), the polling officer shall understand the necessary matters in that regard and make an immediate decision and the objection and its decision shall be immediately noted in the decision book as prescribed by the Commission.
(3) According to sub-section (1), if the objection is found to be correct, the polling officer shall return such bond amount to the concerned person and if the objection is found to be incorrect, such bond amount shall be confiscated.
(4) If the protest under sub-section (1) is found to be valid, the polling officer shall fine the person who comes to vote under such false name in accordance with the federal law on election offenses and punishments.
