Rule 16
List to be updated and published

(1) After receiving the details and the registration book according to rule 15, the assistant registration officer should check the details and update the voter list.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), when updating the voter list, the following should be done:-
(a) On the basis of the details collected in accordance with rule 10, the details of the voters who have been added to the electoral roll published in accordance with sub-rule (3) of rule 9, prepared in the format as per schedule-9,
(b) To remove or move a name in accordance with rule 11, on the basis of the details collected from the voter list published in accordance with sub-rule (3) of rule 9, by preparing the details of the name removed or moved in the format as per Schedule-10, and
(c) Correction of errors in the voter list published in accordance with sub-rule (3) of rule 9 on the basis of the details collected to correct the error according to rule 12.
(3) After updating the voter list as per sub-rule (1), the assistant registration officer shall keep the voter list as per clause (a) of sub-rule (2) and the details as per clause (c) together with the notification in the format as per Schedule-3 as mentioned in the program. It should be published in the development committee or ward office of the municipality.
(4) While publishing the updated voter list as per sub-rule (3), the Assistant Registration Officer shall also publish the details as per clause (b) of sub-rule (2). (5) The Assistant Name Registration Officer shall prepare a bond in the format as per Schedule-4 while publishing the notice as per sub-rule (3) and details as per sub-rule (4).
