(1) Ancient monuments as private property of a person or private or institutionally owned real estate within an ancient monument area, the Government of Nepal from the point of view of environmental protection of monuments and monument areas. If it is deemed necessary, it can be bought based on the valuation.

(2) If the owner of a preserved ancient monument gives it without asking for it, the chief archeological officer should take it and notify the Nepal government and register it in the public ancient monument.
