(1) The Supreme Court may make necessary rules to regulate the exercise and procedure of its jurisdiction.
(2) Without prejudice to the generality of the rights conferred by sub-section (1), rules may be made on the following subjects:-
(a) Subject to the exercise of jurisdiction of the Supreme Court by a bench of one judge or by a joint bench of more than one judge, a full bench, a large full bench or a constitutional bench.
(b) Matters relating to petitions for appeal, seeking, review and retrial in the Supreme Court.
(c) Matters related to petitions under clauses (1) and (2) of Article 133 of the Constitution.
(d) Imprisonment or imprisonment or release on bail or bail of a person who appeals to the Supreme Court on the conviction of a lower court in a criminal case.
(e) Contempt of Court Procedure.
(f) Administrative work of the court and other matters related to judicial procedure.
