3. Appointable

(1) If there is an immediate need for more soldiers in the Royal Nepalese Army due to internal security of Nepal, election, divine disaster or any other special reason, after taking the approval of the Government of Nepal, on the recommendation of the recommendation committee formed according to rule 9, Jangi Adda shall appoint an assistant. or lower rank ex-servicemen can be appointed on contract basis.

(2) According to sub-rule (1) the number of posts required for appointment and the procedure of appointment shall be as determined by the Military Base with the approval of the Government of Nepal.
(3) The term of an ex-serviceman appointed in accordance with sub-rule (1) shall normally be one year and such term may be extended as per the need.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (3), if the work of an ex-serviceman appointed as per sub-rule (1) is not satisfactory, such ex-serviceman may be removed by the military base before the expiry of the contract.
