:
(1) The District Water Supply Office may appoint an inspector to inspect the project (2) The inspector designated as per sub-rule (1) shall inspect the project from time to time and give necessary orders and instructions to the water supplier in the following matters and inform the district water supply office:-
(a) Physical security of resources and protection from adverse environmental effects,
(b) construction, repair, maintenance and security of structures,
(c) Keeping track of the amount of drinking water in sources and structures, reducing and increasing the flow of drinking water and preventing unauthorized leakage of drinking water and misuse of services,
(d) Protecting drinking water from pollution and making it healthy (e) Management of services provided to consumers, supply of drinking water and other technical matters.
(3) Apart from what is written in sub-rule (2), the district water supply office may issue necessary orders and instructions to the relevant water suppliers regarding service operation and usage.
(4) According to sub-rule (2) or (3), the relevant water supplier shall comply with the orders and instructions given by the inspector or the district water supply office.
