(1) The department may authorize any expert, officer or agency to inspect and investigate whether or not mineral operations have been carried out in accordance with this Act and the rules made under this Act.
(2) It shall be the duty of the authorized person to allow the expert, officer or body authorized according to sub-section (1) to enter any place where mineral operations are or will be carried out in the course of inspection and investigation and to provide the documents and details requested by him.
