(1) According to sub-section (3) of section 47, the number of votes received by each candidate multiplied by the weight of votes established according to section 54 shall be considered as the total votes received by such candidate.
(2) According to sub-section (1), if the total votes received by a candidate is a majority of the total votes of the electorate, the election officer shall declare that such candidate has been elected.
