Section 34
Secrecy of election should not be violated
(1) An election officer, polling officer, employee involved in the election, monitor, security personnel and any person who is employed, representing or assisting in any work of the election according to the law shall not give, express or reveal to any other person the information received by him in the context of such work except in the case according to the law. (2) The election officer, polling officer, staff involved in the election or security personnel, monitor or observer appointed by the commission or the candidate or any of his representatives or voters or other persons whether or not any voter has voted or voted for any candidate or who has received how many votes or on the ballot paper The existence of any kind of signs or marks or any other things to identify the voter shall not be revealed or made known to anyone by saying, writing or publishing in any way. However, this section shall not be deemed to create any obstacle for the election officer or the officer authorized by him to publicly inform the number of votes received by the candidates during the counting of votes or to say, write or publish based on such information.
(3) The commission, election officer or polling officer may impose a fine of up to twenty five thousand rupees on a person who acts contrary to sub-section (1) or (2).
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (3), if an election officer, polling officer, employee or security personnel commits an act contrary to sub-section (1) or (2), he shall be punished according to the law related to his service conditions.
