(1) A political party or a candidate shall not take any financial support or spend or cause any kind of financial support to carry out activities prohibited by this Act or the prevailing federal laws related to elections or the election code of conduct.
(2) The Commission may impose a fine equal to the income or expenses incurred by the political party or candidate who acts contrary to sub-section (1).
(3) The commission may disqualify the candidate who fails to pay the penalty for six months as per sub-section (2), with effect from immediately, for a maximum period of six years.
