(1) Generally, a High Court or District Court judge who has not completed two years' tenure in a court shall not be transferred.

(2) When a High Court or District Court judge is transferred, generally Judges working in courts of accessible areas with experience in Himalayan regions, mountainous regions, Terai regions and Kathmandu Valley will be transferred to courts in remote regions and judges working in courts in remote regions will be transferred to courts in accessible regions.

(3) Generally, the High Court or No judge of the District Court shall be transferred to the same court more than once.

(4) The Chief Justice may, on the recommendation of the Judicial Council, transfer a judge of one High Court to another High Court as necessary.

(5) The Chief Justice may depute a judge of one district court to the judge of another district court for a certain period of time.
