(1) A Minimum Wage Determination Committee will be constituted with the following members to determine the minimum wage amount to be received by working journalists and to make recommendations to the Government of Nepal regarding the review of such wage amount as necessary:-
(a) A person appointed by the Government of Nepal from among the people who have made special contributions in the field of communication - Chairman
(b) Representative (Gazetted First Class) Ministry of Communications and Information Technology -Member
(c) Representative (Gazetted First Class) Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security -Member
(d) Chairman of Federation of Nepal Journalists - Member
(e) Three members appointed by the Federation of Nepalese Journalists, with at least one woman among working journalists. (f) Three members nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the managers (g) One person nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the employees or workers - member
(h) One member nominated by the Government of Nepal from among the labor and finance experts (i) Press Registrar – Member – Secretary
(2) The term of office of the chairman and nominated members of the committee will be two years.
(3) Apart from what is written in this Act, other tasks, duties and rights of the committee shall be as prescribed.
(4) The procedure for the meeting of the committee shall be as determined by the committee itself.
