Section 24
Discharge of Official Responsibilities
Officials who are responsible for carrying out work in accordance with this Act or prevailing laws shall pay attention to the following matters while exercising their rights or performing their duties:- (a) Take the initiative to carry out the work to be carried out within the stipulated time,
(b) When using government or public resources, use them in a frugal manner so as to be maximally efficient and productive,
(c) Paying attention to the fact that the government or public office is a service provider organization, the employee of the concerned official and the general public are the people who have the right to receive service,
(d) Having the feeling that slowness and delay in the execution of work means misuse of resources and resources and more resources and resources of the country are spent,
(e) If the work cannot be carried out immediately due to any unavoidable reason, the higher authorities will be informed about it. However, if it is a matter related to the public service or the service recipient, such matter should be posted on the notice board of the office concerned and publicized as required.
(f) Responsible officials should make decisions on matters within their jurisdiction and should not seek guidance from higher authorities on general matters that do not have any legal complications or ambiguities.
(g) Persons holding public office in the course of government or public work shall treat the service recipient with courtesy in accordance with prevailing values, beliefs and culture.
