(1) The Ministry may cancel the identity card in any of the following cases: No
(a) If the identity card is obtained by a person who does not meet the qualifications as per section 4, (b) If the identity card is obtained by submitting false information,
(c) If a foreign national obtains an identity card contrary to this Act,
(d) If the person receiving the identity card is not a citizen of Nepal.
(2) A person who is not satisfied with the decision to cancel the identity card according to sub-section (1) may appeal to the relevant High Court within thirty-five days from the date of receiving information about such decision.
