In this Act, unless the subject or context otherwise requires, –
(a) "Greater Janakpur area" means the area including Dherakchuri, Janakpur Hanumannagar, Bahuarwa Behdawela, Tulsiahi Jabdi, Matihani, Jaleshwar, Madai, Dhruvakund, Kanchanavan (Harinmari), Parbatta, Dhanusha Dham, Satoshar, and others within the secondary (Panchakoshi) ring road. Must remember.
(b) "Midhyamiki (Panchakoshi) circumambulation" means the circumambulation from Falguna Shukla Pareva Tithi to Falguna Purnima which has been running from Sanatan with Janakpurdham as the center within the greater Janakpur area.
(c) "Council" means the Greater Janakpur Area Development Council in which section 3 Bakozim is established.
(d) "Board of Directors" means the Board of Directors constituted as per Section 6.
(e) "Committee" shall mean the Executive Committee constituted under Section 9.
(f) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
(g) "Member" means a member of the Board of Directors and the term also refers to the Chairman and Member-Secretary of the Board.
(h) "Member-Secretary" shall mean the Member-Secretary of the Board of Directors.

(j) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
