In this Act, unless the context or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Industry" means industry as per section 15.
(b) "Industry Registration Agency" shall mean the department and the term also refers to the agency designated by the Government of Nepal for the purpose of industry registration by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
(c) "Office" means the domestic and small industries office in the district.
(d) "Domestic industry" means an industry as per clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 15.
(e) "Large industry" means an industry as per clause (e) of sub-section (1) of section 15.
(f) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
(g) "Export industry" means an industry that exports at least 60 percent of its production, except for energy.
(h) "Intellectual property" means patent, design, trademark, service mark, geographical indication mark, trade secret and other related industrial property and the term also refers to the subject defined as copyright by the prevailing law.
(h) "Medium industry" means the industry as per clause (d) of sub-section (1) of section 15.
(j) "Ministry" means the Ministry of Industry.
(k) "National priority industry" means industry as per section 17.
(l) "Small Enterprise" means the industries mentioned in clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 15.
(d) "Department" means Department of Industries or Department of Home and Small Industries.
(l) "Board" shall mean the Industry and Investment Promotion Board constituted as per section 18.
(n) "Small scale industry" means the industry as per clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 15.
(t) "Fixed property" means property as per section 16.
