Rule 2
Definition
In these Regulations, unless the context or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Act" means the Water Resources Act, 2049.
(b) "potable water" means water supplied for domestic and industrial use.
(c) "source" means a source of drinking water on the surface or underground.
(d) "Structure" means a reservoir constructed to collect, control, purify or distribute drinking water from a source and the area covered by such reservoir and the term includes water tanks, pipe lines, drains, streams or other similar structures constructed for the same purpose. means .
(e) "Survey" means the construction of the structure, the environmental impact caused by the construction of the structure, the amount of drinking water that can be used and distributed from the source, the number of people who will benefit from the drinking water, including the economic and technical facts and the detailed analysis of the feasibility study and related detailed The work of engineering · design should be remembered.
(f) "Project" shall mean a water supply project operated by a person who has obtained a permit and the term shall also refer to a project transferred by the Government of Nepal to a consumer organization or a project developed and operated by the consumer organization itself in accordance with Section 11 of the Act.
(g) "Committee" means the District Water Resources Committee constituted under Rule 8 of the Water Resources Rules, 2050.
(h) "Water supplier" means a consumer organization or a person who has a license to supply water to consumers in accordance with this regulation.
(i) "Service" means drinking water service provided by the water supplier to the consumer.
(j) "Consumer" means a person or entity who consumes the service provided by the water supplier.
(k) "Service charge" means the service charge to be paid by the consumer to the water supplier for availing the service and the term also refers to the delay charge.
(l) "Inspector" means the water supply inspector appointed under rule 47.
