: In this Act, unless the subject or the context otherwise requires,-
(a) "Establishment" means the National Institute of Medical Sciences established in accordance with section 3.
(b) "Assembly" means the assembly constituted as per section 7.
(c) "Academic Council" means the Academic Council constituted as per Section 9.
(d) "Executive Council" means the Executive Council constituted as per Section 11.
(e) "Service Commission" means the Service Commission constituted as per Section 13.
(f) "Hospital" means Veer Hospital established as per section 14.
(g) "Chancellor" means the Chancellor as per section 16.
(h) "Vice-Chancellor" means the Vice-Chancellor as per section 17.
(i) "Vice-Chancellor" shall mean the Vice-Chancellor as per Section 18.
(j) "Principal" means the Principal as per Section 19.
(k) "Registrar" means the Registrar as per section 19.
(l) "Dean" means Dean as per Section 19.
(d) "Director" means the director as per section 20.
(l) "Teacher" means a person who has the responsibility of imparting education and conducting research in the institution.
(n) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
