In this Act, unless the subject or the context requires otherwise, - (a) "Fund" means the Citizen Investment Fund established in accordance with Section 3. (b) "General Meeting" means the General Meeting of Shareholders convened in accordance with Section 21. c) "Committee" shall mean the Board of Directors of the fund established in accordance with section 25. (d) "Chairman" shall mean the chairman of the committee. ) "Executive director" means the executive director of the fund appointed in accordance with section 42. (g) "Share" means the divided part of the share capital of the fund. (h) "Shareholder" means the person who owns the shares of the fund. "Share certificate" shall mean a certificate provided by the Fund to the shareholder for purchasing shares. (j) "Loan" shall mean a loan given by pledging or mortgaging any movable or immovable property or taking any other necessary security or guarantee under the conditions determined by the Fund. ) "Debenture" means a bond issued by the fund with or without collateral for the fund's assets. (l) "Debenture" means a bond issued by the Government of Nepal under the National Debt Act, 2017. (d) "Securities" means shares. , stocks, cash, debentures, debentures stocks and bonds issued by the government of Nepal, and the term refers to securities guarantees and rights and authorizations related to securities. (n) "Investment account scheme" means the investor account scheme operated by the fund in accordance with section 15. Scheme shall mean and the term also refers to the capital fund collected from general savers and investors and the scheme for managing such capital fund.(d) "Unitholder" means a person or an organization that owns a unit of the fund. (n) "Technical sub-committee" means the technical sub-committee of experts constituted as per section 43. Non-governmental organizations shall be considered. It shall mean the fund's committee, sub-committee or member of such committee or sub-committee or the authorized employee of the fund as prescribed by the fund.
