In this Act, unless the context or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Establishment" means the Patan Institute of Health Sciences established under section 3.
(b) "Assembly" means the assembly constituted as per section 7.
(c) "Academic Council" means the Academic Council constituted as per Section 9.
(d) "Executive Council" means the Executive Council constituted as per Section 11.
(e) "Service Commission" means the Service Commission constituted as per Section 13.
(f) "Educational Institution" means an educational institution established in accordance with Section 15.
(g) "Hospital" shall mean a hospital established in accordance with section 16.
(h) "Hospital Management Committee" means the Hospital Management Committee constituted as per Section 17.
(i) "Chancellor" means the Chancellor as per section 18.
(j) "Vice-Chancellor" shall mean the Vice-Chancellor as per section 19.
(k) "Vice-Chancellor" shall mean the Vice-Chancellor as per Section 20.
(l) "Principal" means the Principal as per section 21.
(d) "Registrar" means the Registrar as per section 22.
(d) "Dean" means Dean as per Section 23.
(n) "Director" means the director as per section 24.
(s) "Teacher" means a person appointed to teach and research in the institution.
(h) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
