In this Act, unless the context or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Provisional Voter's Roll" means the provisional voter's roll as per section 30.
(b) "Commission" means the Election Commission under Article 245 of the Constitution.
(c) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in this Act or the rules made under this Act.
(d) "Name Registration Officer" means Chief Name Registration Officer, Name Registration Officer or Assistant Name Registration Officer as per section 5.
(e) "Election" shall mean the election of the President, Vice President, Member of the Federal Parliament, Member of the Provincial Assembly and the member of the local level held in accordance with the Constitution and Federal Law and the term also refers to the by-election.
(f) "Election Officer" shall mean the election officer as prescribed.
(g) "Constituency" means the constituency determined by the Constituency Determination Commission as per clause (1) of Article 286 of the Constitution for the election of members of the House of Representatives and members of the Provincial Assembly.
(h) "Provincial Assembly" means the Provincial Assembly constituted in accordance with Article 176 of the Constitution.
(i) "Voter" means a person whose name is registered in the voter list as per section 3.
(j) "Voter ID card" means voter ID card as per section 27.
(k) "Federal Parliament" means the House of Representatives constituted under Article 84 and the National Assembly constituted under Article 86 of the Constitution.
(l) "Constitution" means the Constitution of Nepal.
(d) "Local level" means village council, municipality or district assembly.
