In these Regulations, unless the subject or the context requires otherwise,–
(a) "Constitution" means the Constitution of Nepal.
(b) "Court" means the Supreme Court (c) "Chief Justice" means the Chief Justice of Nepal and the term also refers to the permanent Chief Justice.
(d) "Judge" shall mean the Judge assigned to the Bench and the term shall also refer to the Chief Justice.
(e) "Bench" shall mean the Constitutional Bench formed in accordance with sub-section (1) of Article 137 of the Constitution.
(f) "Registrar" means the Registrar of the Supreme Court and that term also includes the Permanent Registrar.
(g) "Associate of the Court (Amicus Caucus)" shall mean a person assisting the Bench under Rule 13.
(h) "Case" means any application within the jurisdiction of the Bench.
(i) "Writing" means writings including petitions and written replies related to cases falling within the jurisdiction of the Bench.
