In these Regulations, unless the subject or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Fund" means the Contingency Insurance Fund established under Rule 3.
(b) "Risk Group" shall mean the risk to be protected against damage caused by activities such as riots, strikes, civil disturbances, malice and terrorism.
(c) "Insurance Committee" shall mean the insurance committee formed under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Insurance Act, 2049.
(d) "Board of Directors" shall mean the Board of Directors of the fund constituted as per rule 9.
(e) "Membership Insurer" shall mean an Insurer who has received membership of the Fund in accordance with Rule 4.
(f) "Member" means a member of the board of directors and the term also refers to the chairman of the board of directors and the fund manager. br> (h) "Financial year" means the period from the 1st of the month of Shravan to the end of the month of Ashadha of each year.
