Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in this Act, the term "essential article" means the following articles and other articles accompanying or connected therewith:-

(a) telegraph, telephone,< br> (b) Ropeway, Railway,
(c) highways, main roads, bridges,
(d) Sewer, drainage pipe line,
(e) Sources of drinking water constructed by the Government of Nepal or any organization or with the permission of the Government of Nepal or any organization,
(f) Electricity, power generating equipment,
(g) Meteorological and Water Resources Stations,
(h) aerodromes, communication cable lines, antennas, radio communication stations, beacons, security, signals and similar equipment within or outside the aerodrome area,
(i) Petrol, Petrol Pump Stations, Fuel Depots,
(j) Boards, platforms, flats for public use,
(k) Any items prescribed by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notification in the Nepal Gazette.
