Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in this Act-

(a) "Khark land" shall mean the land which is used only for animal grazing under the name of Khark, Kharkchok etc. whether or not it is registered in Adda Khana. .
(b) "Registrant" shall mean the person or persons who have registered the land in their own name or as a group and who have the right to the land in accordance with the Nepalese law in accordance with the prevailing Nepalese law.
(c) "Goods office" means the goods office where there is a goods office and the land administration office where there is no such office.
