Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in this regulation,-

(a) “Act” means “Urban Development Fund Act, 2053”.
(b) "Investment" means the fund's investment in basic social services and income-generating projects operated by agencies related to urban development and in shares, debentures and other securities of banks, financial institutions or other organized institutions.
(c) "Bank" means a commercial bank established under the Commercial Bank Act, 2031.
(d) "Financial institution" means any financial institution established for the purpose of providing loans for urban and rural development, cooperative, industry or any other specific purpose.
(e) "Investment Promotion Committee" shall mean the Investment Promotion Committee constituted under Rule 4.
