In these rules, unless the subject or context requires otherwise,-

(a) “Act” means the Civil Service Act, 2049.
(b) "Regulations" means the Civil Service Rules, 2050.
(c) "Service" means Nepal Agricultural Service as per rule 3.
(d) "Group" means a group as per sub-rule (1) of rule 4.
(e) "Employee" means civil servants of Nepal Agricultural Service.
