Unless the subject and context require otherwise, in this Act-

(a) “Court” means the Supreme Court, the High Court and the District Court.

(b) “Chairman” means the Chairman of the Judicial Council. (d) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means as prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.

(e) “Judicial Council” means the Judicial Council under Article 153 of the Constitution.

(f) “Judge ” means a judge of the court.

(g) “Member” means a member of the Judicial Council and the term also refers to the Chairman of the Judicial Council.

( h) “Constitution” means the Constitution of Nepal.
