2. 2. Definition:

In this Order, unless the subject matter or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Committee.
(b) "Vice President" means the Vice President nominated by the Government of Nepal in accordance with clause (b) of sub-section (2) of Section 3.
(c) "Executive Director" shall mean the Executive Director as per Section 7.
(d) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this order.
(e) "Badi community" means neglected, oppressed and marginalized communities who are economically, socially and educationally backward and are earning a living based on their traditional activities such as dancing and singing.
(f) "Member" shall mean a member of the Committee and the term shall also refer to the Chairman and Vice-Chairman.
(g) "Committee" means Badi Community Upliftment Development Committee constituted as per section 3.
