In this Act, unless the subject or context requires otherwise,-

(a) “protected watershed area” means protected watershed area declared under section 3.

(b) "Land and watershed protection" means preventing or saving an area from being destroyed by natural disasters such as floods, landslides, soil erosion, and keeping the volume and flow of water in a normal state or maintaining cleanliness without allowing the flow of water to become cloudy. p>

(c) "Land Use System" means the process of long-term use of such land by farming or other activities in a manner that does not weaken or destroy or maintain the physical and chemical properties that maintain the fertility of the land. (d) "Department" means the Department of Land and Watershed Protection. .

(f) “Prescribed” or “as prescribed” means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
