In this Act, unless the subject or context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Centre" shall mean the Shaheed Gangalal National Heart Center established under Section 3.

(b) "Committee" shall mean the Board of Directors of the Center established under Section 7.
(c) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Committee.
(d) "Member" means a member of the committee and the term also refers to the chairman and the member-secretary of the committee.
(e) "Executive Director" shall mean the Executive Director appointed as per Section 11.
(f) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
