In this Act, unless the subject or context requires otherwise,-
(a) "Criminal Code" shall mean "State Criminal Code, 2074" instead.
(b) "Offender" means a person convicted of an offense by a court.
(c) "Law" shall mean the law in force for the time being.
(d) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
(e) "Probation officer" means a probation officer appointed or appointed under section 49.
(f) "Probation and Parole Board" means the Probation and Parole Board under section 38.
(g) "Parole officer" means a parole officer appointed or designated under section 49.
(h) “Criminal Procedure Code” means “State Criminal Procedure Code, 2074”.
(i) "Committee" means the Punishment Recommendation Committee under Section 46.
