Section 2
Definition
In this Act, unless the subject or context requires otherwise,-
(a) "Residential area" means the land used for human habitation and the land used for human habitation and attached or not attached to the house, barn, garage shed, well, fruit garden, vegetable garden, yard or any other similar purpose and the term residential area. The objective also refers to the special economic zone designated as per the prevailing law. (c) "Implementation Committee" means the Local Land Use Implementation Committee as per Section 20.
(d) "Agricultural sector" means agricultural crop production, animal husbandry, farmhouse, fishery, beekeeping, sericulture. including agricultural production, horticulture or forestry, herbs and agro-forestry shall mean land that is or may be used.
(e) "Mining and Mineral Area" shall mean an area set aside for the purpose of mining, production, purification, processing and storage of minerals and mineral materials in accordance with prevailing laws.
(f) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
(g) "State Land Use Council" means the State Land Use Council as per section 16.

(t) "Federal Land Use Council" means the Federal Land Use Council as per section 14.
(h) "Area of cultural and archaeological importance" means religious places, hospices, palaces of archaeological importance and areas designated as having cultural and archaeological importance according to prevailing laws.
(d) “area of public use” means a school, university, hostel, funeral ground, road, irrigation well or canal, well, well, chautari, patti, pauwa; The buildings, houses, towers, places and such structures constructed for public use should be considered church land and the term also includes the area designated as public use area in a certain geographical area as per prevailing laws. refers to
