Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in this regulation,-

• “Act” means the National Parks and Wildlife Protection Act, 2029.
• Department” means the National Parks and Wildlife Department of the Government of Nepal. It shall mean the Department of Wildlife Conservation.
• "Protection area" shall mean the protection area declared by the Government of Nepal in accordance with Section 3 of the Act.
• "Institution" shall mean Section 16B of the Act.
• "Head Office" shall mean the head office of a protected area established in accordance with Rule 4. shall mean the head office appointed in accordance with sub-rule (2).
• “Office” shall mean the area conservation office established under rule 6.
• “Conservation Officer” shall mean the sub-rule of rule 6 ( 2) shall mean the head of the office appointed as per .
• "Committee" shall mean the protected area management committee constituted as per Rule 8.
• "Management Action Plan" shall mean the approved management as per Rule 15 Action plan should be remembered.
