The tasks, duties and powers of the Council shall be as follows:- (a) Under the health policy of the Government of Nepal, conduct studies and research in various fields related to health within Nepal. .

(b) Formulating policies related to both basic (basic) and experimental (applied) studies and research related to health.

(c) Health system, biological medicine, by- Conducting research on medical health services and diet, behavior and morals and conducting studies on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases. p>(e) To give consent for study and research on health-related matters, determine authenticity and make recommendations to the Government of Nepal.

(f) To coordinate, guide and evaluate health-related research and provide necessary advice. .

(G) To publish and publicize health-related knowledge, experience and research achievements and share information at the national and international level.

(H) To conduct health-related research within Nepal, If there is a need to conduct research in an area where facilities are not available, to give permission to carry out part of the research abroad.

(i) To provide awards, scholarships and travel expenses to individuals or organizations conducting health-related research as needed.

(j) Keeping records of health related research.
