Section 105
Provisions relating to Council Meetings

(1) The meeting of the council shall be held on the date, place and time specified by the chairman of the council as per the requirement. But the difference between two meetings will not be more than four months.
(2) If one-fourth of the total number of members of the Council make a written request to convene a meeting, the Chairman shall convene a meeting of the Council within fifteen days.
(3) At least twenty-four hours before the meeting of the council, the member secretary of the council shall give notice to all the members of the council including the topics to be discussed in the meeting.
(4) If at least fifty percent of the total number of members of the Council are present representing the Government of Nepal, employers and trade unions, it will be considered that the quorum for the meeting of the Council has been reached.
(5) The meeting of the Council shall be presided over by the Chairman of the Council and in his absence the Secretary of the Ministry shall preside over the meeting.
(6) An expert on labor may be invited to the council meeting.
(7) The decision of the Council shall be made on the basis of consensus.
(8) If unanimity cannot be reached according to sub-section (7), the decision will be made by the majority of the members of the council including representatives of the government of Nepal, employers and unions.
(9) The record of the decision of the meeting of the council shall be prepared and kept in a separate minute book and the decision of the meeting shall be certified by the member-secretary of the council.
(10) Other procedures related to the meeting of the Council shall be as determined by the Council itself.
(11) The members of the Council shall receive the meeting allowance as prescribed by the Government of Nepal.
