Section 26
To be registered with the Council

(1) The National Sports Association or Federation as per Section 23 shall be registered with the Council in order to obtain national recognition.
(2) In order to be registered with the Council in accordance with sub-section (1), an application shall be submitted to the Council with the following documents attached and the prescribed fee:-
(a) Copy of State Sports Association Registration Certificate,
(b) A copy of the Articles of Association,
(c) Details including names, surnames and addresses of officers and members of the association, and
(d) Other documents as specified.
(3) If there is an international sports association or federation affiliated with the same sport other than Nepal's original sports association or federation applying to be registered with the council according to sub-section (2), such association or federation shall take affiliation within one year and if it does not take affiliation within that time period, such sports association or federation shall The status of the federation will be treated as a local sports organization or club.
(4) Upon examination of the application received under sub-section (2), if such association is found suitable for registration with the Council in accordance with this Act, the Council shall register within thirty days and issue a certificate of registration in the prescribed format.
(5) When registering by the council as per sub-section (4), more than one association or federation with the same purpose or same name shall not be registered for one game.
(6) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (5), if more than one sports association or federation has been formed for the same sport at the time of commencement of this Act, within three months from the date of entry into force of this Act, the Council shall issue a notification for the formation of a single sports association or federation for registration. will do
(7) If a single association or federation is not formed within the period specified in the notice issued in accordance with sub-section (6), the registration of such sports association or federation shall automatically expire after the expiry of that period.
(8) If, after examining the application received under sub-section (2), an association is not found suitable for registration with the Council, the Council shall decide not to register and inform the relevant association.
(9) The valid period of registration under sub-section (4) shall be four years.
(10) As prescribed in subsection (9).Before the expiry of this period, the relevant sports association or federation shall submit an application to the Council by attaching the prescribed documents for renewal. In this way, the status of the sports association or federation which is not registered and renewed in the council will be considered as a local sports association or club.
(11) Notwithstanding anything written in this section, sports associations or federations registered with the Council in accordance with the prevailing law before the commencement of this Act shall be deemed to have been registered in accordance with this Act and such associations or federations shall not be required to re-register with the Council.
(12) The National Sports Association, State Sports Association and Local Sports Association shall coordinate and conduct the games in accordance with this Act and the generally accepted principles of sports prevailing at the international level.
(13): Other arrangements related to registration and renewal in the Council shall be as prescribed.
