Section 56
Revoting

(1) According to subsection (2) of section 55, if the vote received by a candidate does not constitute a majority of the total votes of the electorate, the election officer shall set a date for the polling and hold a re-election in such a way that the vote will be held between the two candidates who have received the most votes.
(2) If the vote received by a candidate exceeds fifty percent of the total votes in the voting according to sub-section (1), the election officer shall declare that such candidate has been elected.
(3) If no candidate receives more than fifty percent of the total votes in the election held in accordance with sub-section (2), the election officer shall set a date for the polling and hold a re-election.
(4) The Election Officer shall declare the candidate who has received the majority of the total Sadar votes cast in the voting as per sub-section (3).
