Section 16
State Land Use Council
(1) Each province will have the following provincial land use councils to carry out work related to land use at the provincial level:- (a) Minister, ministry of the provincial government dealing with matters related to land management - Chairman (b) Secretary, Finance, Agriculture, Forestry, Law, Industry, Urban Development, Local Development Ministry of State Government looking at related matters - Member (c). Among the experts on land use, four persons including at least two women nominated by the provincial government - Member (d) Secretary, Ministry of the provincial government dealing with matters related to land management - Member-Secretary
(2) The term of office of a member nominated as per clause (c) of sub-section (1) shall be three years and if he does not fulfill his duties satisfactorily, if he does any work contrary to the interest of the Provincial Land Use Council, if he lacks efficiency or misbehaviour, the provincial government may remove such member from office at any time. can However, before removing a member from office, he should be given a reasonable time to submit his explanation.
(3) If deemed necessary by the Provincial Land Use Council, it may invite any stakeholder or expert to the meeting of the Council.
(4) In accordance with clause (c) of sub-section (1), the provisions relating to the service and conditions of nominated members shall be as prescribed.
(5) The procedure related to the meeting of the Provincial Land Use Council shall be as determined by the council itself.
