Preamble
: Since it is desirable to make telecommunication services reliable and accessible, to involve the private sector in telecommunication services and to regularize and organize such services, Parliament has enacted this Act in the twenty-fifth year of the reign of Shri 5 Maharajadhiraj Birendra Bir Bikram Shahdev.
