: Since Nepal is a multi-ethnic, multilingual and multicultural country, all the languages, literature and culture of Nepal should be protected, promoted and developed. And since it is desirable to timely amend and consolidate the prevailing legal system related to Pragya Pratishthan to make necessary provisions regarding the respect and appreciation of scholars and talents in this field, the Legislature-Parliament has made this Act.
