Preamble
: Since it is desirable to make timely legal arrangements regarding the prevention of corruption in order to maintain financial discipline, ethics and morals in the society for the sake of the happiness, peace and economic welfare of the common people, Parliament has made this Act in the first year of the reign of Shri 5th Maharajadhiraj Gyanendra Veer Vikram Shahdev.
