- Since it is desirable to make necessary provisions regarding the Madhesi Commission in order to identify, protect and promote the history and culture of the Madhesi community, the rights and interests of the Madhesi community and to empower the Madhesi community, the Legislature-Parliament has made this Act according to Article 296, Clause (1) of the Constitution of Nepal.
