: With the aim of preserving the memory of Martyr Gangalal Shrestha forever, by providing the high-level health services necessary for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of heart patients in an accessible manner, to enable the heart patients to lead a humane life and to prepare the necessary skilled manpower for high-level studies and research related to heart disease. Since it is desirable to establish and operate the Gangalal National Heart Center, Parliament has made this Act in the thirty-ninth year of the reign of Shri 5th Maharajadhiraj Birendra Bir Bikram Shahdev.
