: Since it is desirable to establish an Ayurveda Medical Council to maintain the health and convenience of the common people, to make the Ayurveda medical system more effective, to develop the method of production and use of Ayurvedic medicines and also to arrange for the registration of Ayurvedic doctors, the National Panchayat from Shri 5th Maharajadhiraj Birendra Bir Vikram Shahdev This Act has been made with advice and consent.
