(1) There will be an academic council to act as a body to manage the academic and academic work of the university.
(2) The composition of the Academic Council shall be as follows:-
(a) Vice-Chancellor – Chairman
(b) Registrar – Member
(c) Dean – Member (d) Three members from among the Heads of Departments of different Faculties (e) Two members, including at least one woman, from among the persons who have made special contributions in the field of agriculture and forestry (f) Controller of Examinations – Member
(g) Director – Member
(h) Dean-Member-Secretary appointed by the Vice-Chancellor from among the Deans (3) Apart from the ex-officio members as per sub-section (2), the nomination of other members will be done by the Vice-Chancellor.
(4) The term of office of the nominated member as per sub-section (2) shall be three years.
(5) If the position of a nominated member of the Academic Council becomes vacant due to any reason, another person will be nominated for the remaining period after completing the procedure as per sub-section (3).
(6) The procedure related to the meeting of the Academic Council shall be as prescribed and until such time the procedure related to the meeting may be determined by the Academic Council itself.
