(1) There shall be a Federal Probation and Parole Board as follows to assist in social rehabilitation and reintegration of convicted offenders:-
(a) Attorney General – Chairman
(b) Secretary, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs – Member
(c) Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs – Member
(d) Two Psychiatrists appointed by the concerned Ministry including one female member if available (e) Inspector General, Nepal Police - Member (f) Criminologist or Penalist designated by the concerned Ministry – Member
(g) Director General, Prison Management Department – ​​Member Secretary
(2) Under the direct direction, control and supervision of the Probation and Parole Board, there shall be the following Provincial Probation and Parole Board in each province:-
(a) Advocate General – Chairman
(b) Secretary, State Ministry of Law – Member
(c) Secretary, State Ministry of Home Affairs – Member
(d) Chief of Police, State Police – Member
(e) Two Psychiatrists-Members appointed by the State Government including one woman as far as available (f) Criminologist or Penalist appointed by the State Government – ​​Member
(G) Head of State Prison Management Agency - Member - Secretary
