(1) In order to register the child's name in accordance with sub-rule (2) of rule 5, the concerned person shall attach the relevant certificate and submit an application to the office of the local registrar.

(2) After receiving the application according to sub-rule (1), the local registrar shall register the name as written in the application in the relevant registration book and also indicate the name in the certificate with the correct date.

(3) Name registration according to sub-rule (2) The local registrar should inform the office of the registrar immediately.

(4) If a person's previously registered name needs to be changed, the concerned person should file an application with the relevant local registrar's office with the relevant certificate attached.

(5) After receiving the application according to sub-rule (4), the local registrar must take the permission of the registrar and write the changed name in the Kaifiyat Mahal of the relevant registration book and write the changed name in the certificate along with the date. A fee of one rupee will be charged for changing the registered name.
