Rule 13
Minimum qualification required for promotion

(1) In order to be promoted to any post in the various military services, the following qualifications must be fulfilled:-
(a) Completed the training as per schedule-2,
(b) Qualified in performance appraisal,
(c) Those who have educational qualifications as per Rule 9, however, those who have been grouped in the accounting group before the commencement of this regulation - and the officers who have been appointed through open competition - will not be hindered from being promoted to the rank of chief soldier on the basis of their educational qualifications. In the same way, before the commencement of this regulation, there will be no hindrance to promotion to the rank of chief soldier if the officers appointed through internal competition have passed the proficiency certificate level, ten-second or equivalent educational qualification and at least three months of computer base training and at least two months of computer accounting training.
(d) Completion of minimum service period as per rule 15,
(e) having passed the physical fitness test (basic fitness test), but being injured in the course of military duty and unable to participate in the test as per this section, if deemed fit for health classification as per Rule 37 of the Military Regulations, he is eligible for promotion as per this regulation for that purpose. will be.

(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in clause (a) of sub-rule (1), a soldier who has not received mid-career management and higher command and management training for two years from the date of commencement of this rule may be a candidate for promotion.
