Section 189
Close questionable

(1) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this paragraph, if the witness who is to be examined is a resident of another district and cannot be brought before the court where the case is pending due to his physical condition, if the relevant party petitions the court to be examined through closed-ended questions, and if such conduct is found to be inappropriate, the court shall close the examination. He can order the witness to be examined through questions.
(2) If a witness is to be examined through closed questions according to sub-section (1), the questions to be asked to such a witness shall be prepared in the format of schedule-18 and certified by the judge and sent to the district court of the district where the witness is staying. (3) If there is an order for closed questioning by the court according to sub-section (1), the parties to the case shall be informed of the date set for the court to appear in the closed questioning court accordingly.
(4) If a closed question is received in accordance with sub-section (2), such court shall prepare a written answer to each question of the closed question and prepare a written answer to each question of the closed question in the paper of such written question, in the same manner as if it were a case in its court, as if the witness who has been produced in accordance with sub-section (1) of section 179 by the relevant party. 188 shall be completed and the signature of such person shall be stamped and sent to the concerned district court within three days.
